The Library of Yugra State University was opened to scholars in 2002. It rose from the library of Nizhnevartovsk Education Institutes branch housing a collection of 8 000 printed items.
Currently, the Librarys collections contain over 170 thousand volumes in total including scientific publications, abstracts of theses, academic books, reference books, belles-lettres, foreign language literature.
Annually the Library acquires more than 25 thousand items as well as enters subscription to 470 national periodicals. Along with printed items the Library contains the diverse range of electronic resources ? encyclopedias, albums, e-textbooks, foreign language training courses. |
The University Library, by virtue of a comprehensive range of collections and services is able to provide services to more than 5,5 thousand readers. Spacious reading-rooms, lending library, e-resources area, library catalogue area/ hall are available to the reader.
Readers have access to the following databases:
- virtual reading-room of (Electronic database of full-text versions of )"Dissertation Electronic library" of the Russian State Library;
- bibliographic database of VINITI;
- Legal information systems "Consultant Plus", "Garant", "Codex", "Rubrikon";
- full-text bibliographic databases "Scientific works of YuSU cientists", "Academic books".
The library is equipped with 55 computers, 32 of which are meant for readers use.
