On April, 9th Yugra State University signed a cooperation agreement with the chair of physics of University of Helsinki, Finland. The agreement stipulates undergraduate and postgraduate exchanges, arranging and hosting bilateral seminars, conferences and conducting joint researches, etc.

University of Helsinki belongs to top-100 universities of the world (69th position according to QS rating in 2013). The chair of physics being an independent scientific unit also takes top positions in international ratings. Basic fields of research are geophysics, material science, astrophysics and atmospheric sciences. The cooperation in the field of atmospheric sciences (physical, chemical and meteorological processes in atmosphere) is the main purpose of cooperation of both universities. Staff of University of Helsinki invites undergraduates and postgraduates of Yugra State University to study the micrometeorological method for further work with a meteorological plant based on Mukhrino international field station (30 km from Khanty-Mansiysk).

Interested undergraduates and postgraduates majoring in chemistry, ecology, mathematics and IT are welcome to the International office or Elena Lapshina, the head of the Scientific and study centre "Environmental dynamics and global climate change". Colleagues from Finland are ready to admit exchange students this coming autumn.
