The XXXII IFUCSO International Conference-2016 will be held in Khanty-Mansiysk. This decision was passed during the closing ceremony of the IFUSCO Conference.

Students and research fellows of Yugra State University took part in the XXXI IFUSCO International Conference (International Finno-Ugric Student’s Conference) in the host city of Pecs, Hungary on April, 16-18.

The director of the Institute of the Northern Peoples at Yugra State University Dina Gerasimova delivered her welcome address at the opening ceremony. She thanked organizers for their reception and hospitality: «I am glad to see so many young researchers from different spheres. Do not hesitate to raise acute issues», - she announced and presented YSU’s brand souvenirs to the Pecs city leaders having proposed Yugra and YSU as the host place for the next XXXII IFUCSO Conference.

The head of the Institute Dina Gerasimova acted as a moderator at two topic sections of the conference while her students – representatives of minor indigenous peoples of the North – Valeria Kiveleva and Vitaly Sigilietov delivered their papers at the conference. Vitaly spoke about the actual status of Vakh dialect of his Khanty mother tongue and Valeria presented the comparison study results on myth of Mansi, Udmurt and Karelian-Finnish epic literature.

- Both speeches aroused interest in the audience since Vitaly delivered his one in his mother dialect. This is the most unstudied dialect of Khanty language. Vitaly has been conducting a serious and ambitious research, his goal is to compose a phrasebook, - comments Dina Gerasimova, the participants’ research tutor and the director of the Institute of the Northern Peoples at Yugra State University.

On April, 28 Yugra State University held the round table with the event participants devoted to XXXI IFUSCO International Conference results.
