Yugra State University Rector Tatiana Karminskaya and acting director of the Industry Department of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra Vasiliy Dudnichenko have signed a cooperation agreement within the Ugra Industrial Forum, being held in the city this week.

"Today universities have a clear-cut mission to evolve into centers where innovations emerge. Admittedly, we are the facility that builds the talent pool not only for industries but for the research sector as well," the rector said. "Challenges the department faces will also be conveyed to the university, so we will train specialists with technologies. That is why it is important to agree on strategic priorities in advance."

The acting director of the Industry Department of Yugra Vasiliy Dudnichenko in his turn expressed interest in YUSU research and development area.

"I mean agriculture, forestry and other fields too. Some inventions made in YUSU can be implemented from now on. Our new industrial program will definitely provide means for holding such events.
