YUSU STUDENT RANKS TOP 10 AT WORLD UNIVERSIADE
The student of Yugra State University Kristina Vershinina ranked 9th at the World Summer Universiade in Taipei, Taiwan.

On August 20, Kristina swam a 400 m. medley race to finish 12th in a time of 4:48.68. Two days later she clocked 2:15.16 in a 200 m. medley discipline to be 5th on the list and qualified for semi-finals, in a semi-final race the athlete ended up with 2:14.90 and 9th in the final standings.

Kristina Vershinina is a world class athlete, Russian swimming champion 2015, 2016, Russian Cup winner 2016, silver and bronze medallist at Russian Champioships 2011 and 2014 respectively, repeat silver and bronze medalist at Russian Cup 2011, 2012, 2014, 2016 and Yugra's record-holder.

She is a first year student majoring in Physical Education. Her coach is Sergey Lyakhov.
