2017 International Applied Research Conference and Workshop on Water Use
October 16-17, Yugra State University will host the International Applied Research Conference «Trans-Regional Environmental Awareness for Sustainable Usage of Water Resources: Russia and Kazakhstan» and the Applied Research Workshop «Legal Environment of Rational Usage of Water Resources within the KMAO –Yugra (Ob-Irtysh Basin)».

The events are the part of the 2017 Ecology Year’s Key action plan in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra and are organized within the European Commission’s Erasmus+ international project «Trans-Regional Environmental Awareness for Sustainable Usage of Water Resources: Russia and Kazakhstan» (TREASURE WATER).

The conference aims to contribute to the comprehensive knowledge sharing on management and protection of water bodies, as well as to join efforts to address water security issues. The workshop is set to improve the expertise level of staff in water-related industries to settle issues of the rational use of water resources. 

The organizers welcome to participate corporate experts, environment agencies officers, researchers, undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students.

• Integrated water management of trans-regional rivers;
• Water use of trans-regional rivers;
• Water quality of trans-regional rivers;
• Trans-regional issues of the Ob and the Irtysh rivers;
• Legal environment of trans-regional water use.
