UNIVERSITY TO HOST INTERNATIONAL FIELD SYMPOSIUM

The International Field Symposium «Greenhouse Gases Exchange in Boreal Bogs and Freshwater Ecosystems: Multiscale Approaches» will be held on April 5-6 within the INTERACT II № H2020-INFRAIA-2016-1 «International Network for Terrestrial Research and Monitoring in the Arctic».


Along with Russian scientists, the event will also be attended by prominent Finnish researchers: Pavel Alekseychik, Postdoctoral Researcher, University of Helsinki; Ivan Mammarella, Senior Researcher, University of Helsinki; Janne Fredrik Jalmari Korhonen, PhD student, University of Helsinki.


As a symposium opener, Pavel Alekseychik, Researcher at Department of Physics, University of Helsinki will deliver a lecture-discussion on Modern Approaches to Northern Climate and Ecosystems Research.


Moreover, during the stay in Khanty-Mansiysk, scientists plan to test run a gas analyzer system and visit the YUSU-based International Mukhrino Field Station.
