Yugra State University is a partner of the Russian North Forum, contributing to the development of an educational program dedicated to the youth of indigenous minor peoples of Russia's North, Siberia and the Far East.

The 5th anniversary nationwide event will be held October, 14-20 in Khanty-Mansiysk. The forum participants will meet to develop projects, create permanent platforms supporting youth initiatives aimed at social and economic development of the areas of traditional residence along with ethnic culture preservation.

Experts and mentors representing executive authorities and state corporations in the regions of residence of indigenous minorities will participate in the forum as well.

Also, the organizers announced to bring a new feature to the event by awarding grant support worth of 3 million roubles to those participants with best projects selected on a competitive basis. The experts will tutor the project activities.

The forum will be split into several sections, in addition to the educational program, young people also expect featured interactive classes, trainings, workshops, quests and project activities. It is assumed that along with the formation of an asset of young and promising professionals interested in the development of the territories of the North, Siberia and the Far East of the Russian Federation, the event will develop projects of social and economic development of territories, considering the experience of the indigenous population

The forum will be co-organized by the Association of Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East of the Russian Federation, Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, and the Government of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Yugra, with Yugra State University as a partner of the event.
