Not only does our young and quickly developing university provide the conditions for professional skills training and knowledge gaining, but it also facilitates the formation of personality of a future specialist. The programmes, targeted at the development of the personal, organisational and leadership skills of a successful person are being implemented at the university. In February 2005 The Concept of Educational Work with the Students was adopted by the Academic Council of Yugra State University.
The Student Centre, the Department for the Extracurricular work with the students, Sport Club, Student Campus, Tutors Institution, student activists groups at the faculties and institutes, the Yugra State University Student Parliament, these and other university structures are enabling the students to develop their talents, to become respectable citizens of the country, to find like-minded people in the world youth community.
The Yugra State University Student Parliament is the highest body of the student self-government at the university. Its objective is to facilitate the building of the students team, which is a powerful tool of personality development, targeted at the formation of the students awareness of their rights and responsibilities.

The Programme of Student Self-government at Yugra State University was awarded the Yugra Governors Grant, and the First Degree Diploma of the all-Russia contest of student selfgovernment models.
The monthly newspaper "Studio", published at the University, creates single information space in the students environment. University faculties and institutes are publishing their newspapers, radio station Student Radio wave is broadcasting its programs, Hot Age TV project is being successfully implemented; student website has been designed and is being regularly updated.
The intellectual club Ratio Lux has been opened within the frame of the students initiative support and development project. Its teams are the participants and winners of the city, regional and all-Russia What? Where? When? Intellectual contests.
Creative theatrical troupes, Modern Choreography Studio, the Club of Cheerful and Quick-Witted, Singer-songwriters studio, unconventional fashion theatre has become repeated prize-winners at the international, all-Russia, regional and city festivals and contests of students talents. |
