Yugra State University was founded in October 2001 on the initiative of the Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug ? Yugra, Alexander Filipenko. Despite its being young YuSU has won the recognition as a centre of innovative education supporting the regional socio-economic development.
The University is endowed with modern infrastructure and fine quality of human resources. Research institutes and laboratories whose activity lies in the priority areas of the regional economy have been operating at the University. This makes it possible for the University to be engaged in training sought-after competitive professionals. |
The University has lecture rooms equipped with state-of-the-art (multimedia) equipment. There are more than 40 fully equipped laboratories for hands-on training and research at the University.
The University strategically aims at training specialists for the industrial sector. Since 2008 in accordance with the directive issued by the Chair of the Government of the Russian Federation the following educational institutions of high professional education have enjoyed legal status of the University branches:
