General information



Yugra State University is undergoing the process of internationalization of higher education in order to respond to the present-day challenges appropriately. The international activity is uprising in 2017, contributing to raising competitive ability and reputation of the university at the global level.


The year 2016 was rich with events:


- 15 large events and conferences were hosted, attracting over 60 foreign participants (DAAD seminar; visits of Consul General of France, deputy director of the Cultural, Scientific and Information centre of Hungary, seminars at Mukhrino field station with the participation of researchers from Finland, Norway, Denmark, France, Spain, Italy and other countries);


- New agreements of cooperation were signed (with the universities of Spain, China, South Korea, Belarus). The counterparts have agreed upon students exchange, collaborative educational programmes, organizing conferences and projects;


- The students of our Technical Institute and the Institute of Humanities participated in exchange programs with Mendel University in Brno and University of Suwon, our partners;

- In November - December, 2015, our university in cooperation with other Russian and foreign universities-partners were awarded with 3 grants to realize 2 international projects and 1 summer school.


The students of the university have an opportunity to study a variety of languages. We have an operating Centre of the Czech language, funded by the South Moravian Centre for International Mobility (JCMM, Czech Republic). The teachers are native speakers. The students can also study Hungarian (the Hungarian language classroom is in our Institute of Humanities) and Finnish. 

The language center "CLEVER" provides language training in 8 foreign languages: English, French, German, Chinese, Korean and others.


According to the data of 2015, there were 95 foreign students at the university.


The university is an active member of UArctic (University of the Arctic) network, which unites the universities of Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Canada and other circumpolar countries.
