Preserving the Historical Memory of the Pioneers of the Oil and Gas Complex of Western Siberia with the V.I. Muravlenko Foundation

A cooperation agreement has been signed between Yugra State University and the Tyumen Regional Foundation for the Preservation and Development of Cultural and Historical Heritage named after Viktor Ivanovich Muravlenko.

On behalf of the Foundation, the document was signed by its President, Yuri Ivanovich Knyazev.

The agreement opens new opportunities for joint work in the following areas:
– preservation of historical memory;
– promotion of engineering and oil and gas professions;
– development of educational and outreach projects;
– support for talented youth.

Of particular importance to Yugra State University is the preservation of the legacy of Viktor Ivanovich Muravlenko – a prominent organiser of the oil and gas industry, whose name is inextricably linked with the development of Western Siberia and the establishment of the country's oil and gas complex. It is symbolic that one of the first steps taken by Viktor Ivanovich upon his arrival in Tyumen was to establish close cooperation with higher education institutions and to train future specialists for the industry.

During the meeting, representatives of the university and the foundation discussed the organisation of joint events at the university and its branches, the arrangement of meetings between students and veterans of the oil and gas industry, the use of the Foundation's unique archival materials and publications in educational activities, as well as support for young researchers and authors of promising engineering projects.
