Evgeny Zarov, a senior researcher at Yugra State University, has become a participant in the prestigious international PIFI program (President's International Fellowship Initiative) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
As part of a month-long internship, he is heading to the Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IAP CAS, Beijing) — to Professor Libo Zhou, with whom our university has a cooperation agreement.
What's in the program:
- joint analysis of Arctic observation data and discussion of plans for further research;
- working out options for organizing a Chinese-Russian Greenhouse Gas Monitoring Station;
- a series of seminars about our research for colleagues from the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Later, as part of the trip, a visit is planned to Technion (Israel Institute of Technology — a center for innovation, entrepreneurship and academic excellence) in Guangzhou.
This is another step in the development of Russian-Chinese scientific cooperation in the field of climate and Arctic ecology. We wish Evgeny productive work and new joint projects!
