Yugra State University is hosting the participants of the "Studtourism" blog tour media team. They will be introduced to the city of Khanty-Mansiysk, the university's educational programs, student communities, media center, and laboratories.
The delegation consists of five people, including:
- Ansorkhon Asrorov, Financial University.
- Victoria Sivova, State University of Management.
- Maria Ryndyk, National Research University Higher School of Economics.
- Eva Koptelina, Financial University — photographer.
- Ksenia Savina, Tyumen Industrial University — videographer.
The students' journey through the world of knowledge and culture of Yugra began with a meeting with Tatyana Kostyleva, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at Yugra State University. Tatyana Aleksandrovna spoke with the guests about the university, its research and educational activities, and the opportunities it offers students. Following the presentation, the students were able to ask any questions they might have. Of particular interest were international activities, student development prospects in the oil industry, and the upgrade of YSU's facilities and infrastructure.
The bloggers were given a tour of the city and the university, and were introduced to the Lean Lab, the Military Training Center, the Higher Oil and Ecological Schools, the Sports Complex, the Multidisciplinary College, the School of Personal Growth, and the Mukhrino field station. They were also introduced to international students and members of the "Africans in Yugra" community.
"A few months ago, I participated in the Art School at Tavrida and won the video contest, which is why I'm here now. I especially enjoyed the tour, where we learned about how nucleotides are isolated from various types of mushrooms, why this is necessary, and how the database is updated with DNA sequences extracted from mushrooms," shared Maria Ryndyk.
Throughout their visit, the blog tour media team was accompanied by members of the YuSU student media group: Kristina Bobrova, Elizaveta Pikalova, Alisa Betker, and Vladimir Gladkov. It's worth noting that Alisa is also the ambassador for the university's "Studtourism" project.
"I've dreamed of this for so long. To break away from my usual routine, put on comfortable sneakers, breathe in the fresh autumn air, and go on a journey to a place where nature seems to speak to you. The places are incredibly atmospheric. The people are welcoming, sincere, and so warm that you want to stay longer. And there's a huge amount of research and scientific observation going on there—you can feel that every path holds its own history. I'm absolutely delighted! This trip was a real breath of fresh air for me—vivid, warm, and authentic," Ksenia Savina shared her impressions of the walking tour of the Mukhrino laboratory and field station on social media.
"Studtourism" is a federal program for students, young professionals, or scientists aged 18 to 35 who are ready to turn travel into a way to discover the world, themselves, and new opportunities. The first student to visit Khanty-Mansiysk and YuSU under the program was Egor Yakovlev, a student at Irkutsk State University.
The university is delighted to welcome our guests and, of course, we would be delighted to welcome them again!
