YuSU has strengthened its position in the ranking of universities in terms of the quality of training specialists in the field of AI

Yugra State University has strengthened its position in the ranking of universities in terms of the quality of training specialists in the field of artificial intelligence and is once again the leader among universities in Ugra. In 2024, the South was located in the D++ group. In 2025, our university gained a foothold in Group C.

The presentation of the rating took place in Moscow at the Conference "Training for AI: Challenges, trends and the role of partnership", organized by SBER, Sber University and the Alliance in the field of Artificial Intelligence. 203 universities took part in the ranking and were divided into 12 groups (A++, A+, A, B++, B+, B, C++, C+, C, etc.).

Created in 2019, the Alliance unites the largest Russian companies that are interested in introducing AI into educational technologies, research activities and business processes. The analytical database is based on data from open sources, survey results, and data received from the Russian Ministry of Education and Science.

The universities included in the rating are evaluated according to four sets of criteria:

- the demand for graduates in hiring - the relevance of the learning process in the field of AI

- educational environment

- activity in the development of school education.

"Yugra is one of the leaders in the development of artificial intelligence and the implementation of IT services. Realizing the importance of digital transformation and how the national economy is developing, at the university we pay great attention to the training of highly qualified personnel in this industry," said Roman Kuchin, Rector of YuSU.

Let us remind you that YuSU is the first university in the okrug to open an Information Security training course. The university also conducts recruitment for such specialties as "Computer Science and Computer Engineering", "Software Engineering", at the postgraduate level – "Differential Equations and Mathematical Physics", "System analysis, management and information processing, statistics", "Mathematical modeling, numerical methods and software packages". In September 2025, for the first time, the university will begin training specialists in the field of Innovation, unique to Yugra, with the profile of training in Additive Technologies.
