YugraSU held a teleconference with the Russian House in Lusaka on public diplomacy issues

On April 8, a teleconference was held between students of the Yugra State University and students of the Russian House in Lusaka, dedicated to public diplomacy issues.

The event began with a lecture by the head of the Russian House - Alexander Anisimov.

He revealed the concept of "public diplomacy", spoke about the importance of establishing friendly relations between peoples, and also shared his experience as an employee of a diplomatic mission.

Students from Russia and Zambia told each other about their countries, asked questions of interest, destroyed some stereotypes about life in Africa and Russia.

The following topics were discussed: indigenous peoples of both countries, multilingualism, wedding traditions, local cuisine and culinary preferences.

As usual, the meeting of African and Russian youth was held in a friendly atmosphere in the format of an intercultural dialogue.
