The Governor of Yugra - Natalia Komarova came to the university and talked to the best students of the region. The most talented, enterprising and responsive students were gathered at this meeting dedicated to the Russian Students’ day. They were representatives of YuSU, SurSU, SurSPU, Khanty-Mansiysk State Medical Academy, Surgut, Kogalym, Nizhnevartovsk, Soviet, Uray colleges of technology, Khanty-Mansiysk college of technology and pedagogy, Nizhnevartovsk college of Social Science and Humanities.
"I congratulate you, dear students, as well as your teachers and mentors on the Russian Students’ day. The President of Russia declared the year of 2023 the Year of the Teacher and Mentor. I appreciate these great people who have chosen such a very caring professional practice," noted the Governor of the region.
Students and their teachers told about projects, initiatives, achievements and successes at contests of various levels. Among the participants were the winners of the national contest "Bolshaya Peremena", the national project "Small and medium-sized business and support for individual entrepreneurial initiatives", the International project "Unconquered". The students shared their ideas for the implementation of the grants won, told about their business projects in the fields of IT and health care, volunteer activities.
In particular, Ilya Gurov, a 4th-year student of the YuSU, told about the historical and patriotic club "Heroes of the old days", which led our students to becoming laureates of the Russian National Award "Student of the Year – 2022". The head of the club was grateful to the university for full support, as well as to the mentor of students - Natalia Harina.
"It would be nice to meet your mentor. Thank you very much for noting her contribution to your project," highlighted Natalia Komarova. At the end of his speech, the student presented the Governor with a book from the Borodino Museum-Reserve.
Roman Kukarskikh, another student of the YuSU, told about his productive work last year. The senior student won the EnerGenius - 2022 case championship, won the national final of the Global Management Challenge 2022 Strategy and Business Management Championship, won the technical case in the context of the International Educational Summer School on behalf of National University of Oil and Gas «Gubkin University». Thus, the student of the YuSU had proven that it is possible to successfully balance oil and gas engineering and management.
The participants of the meeting were also actively suggesting new ideas. For example, using the territory of the Samarovsky Chugas Nature Park during the next Student Spring. The Governor approved this idea. It should be mentioned that this year Yugra will host the finale of the Student Spring on national level among SPE-students.
At the end of the meeting, the Governor awarded the winners and participants of the II National Championship of Professional Skills for Hearing Impaired People DeafSkills. Also, traditionally, the "Lucky Ticket" campaign was held. It should be mentioned that this year the organizers of the campaign received 1.5 thousand letters from students. The head of the region drew three wishes from the lototron. The lucky ones were students of SurGU, Langepass college of Technology and Yugra State University.
This time, Ksenia Svetlakova, a second-year student of the YuSU, was lucky. The future philologist wanted to fulfill her dream and visit the Boldino estate, where Pushkin was writing his best works. "If my dream comes true, it will be the best gift for my birthday – January 22," wrote Ksenia in her wish.
"The year is not over yet. We will have time before the next birthday!" – commented Natalia Komarova on the wish of the YuSU student.
As a reminder, the meeting brought together 30 of the most successful students of Yugra and their mentors.
