Working meeting with the CEO of Irkutsk Oil Company (INC-Capital)

On November 23, a working meeting with the participation of Natalia Komarova, Governor of Yugra, and Marina Sedykh, CEO of INC-Capital (holding structure of Irkutsk Oil Company LLC), founder of the company, member of the Board of Directors was held in Khanty-Mansiysk.

The parties discussed different issues on sustainable development in the field of carbon neutrality and the possibility of using successful practices in the region.

Before the meeting, Marina Sedykh and representatives of the Irkutsk Oil Company LLC visited the International field station "Mukhrino" of Yugra State University, where equipment for monitoring greenhouse gases was presented.

Professor of YuSU, Doctor of Biological Sciences,  Elena Lapshina has introduced the guests to the experiences learned and results of long-term studies of greenhouse gas flows in peatland ecosystems, the current greenhouse gas monitoring program at the Mukhrino station, as well as opportunities for interaction with oil companies to assess greenhouse gas emissions and prospects for the development of a monitoring network in the Autonomous Okrug.

The outcome of the meeting was  willingness of the parties to cooperate in the field of "green" transformation of the country's oil and gas industry and exchange best practices.
