The UNESCO Chair “Environmental dynamics and global climate change” is an integrated part of the Center of Excellence - Green School YES (Yugra. Environment. Skills) that provides lifelong studies (career guidance programs for secondary school pupils, undergraduate and postgraduate programs, continuing-education courses for professionals) as well as research in the field of Environmental studies.
The infrastructure of the UNESCO Chair includes: the international field station “Mukhrino”, the experimental polygon “Shapsha”, the Laboratory of of ecosystem-atmospheric relations of forest and bog complexes, the Laboratory for the development of metagenomic analysis methods for express assessment of environmental impacts under conditions of intensive subsoil use.

The UNESCO Chair of Yugra State University has a wide range of partners in the field of education and research as well as industrial and governmental partners both at the national level and abroad. It is an active member of international collaborations and networking projects such as INTERACT, Erasmus+, Arctic University (UArctic), PEEX, SecNet and others.
