Yugra State University is one of the founders of the International Association of Finno-Ugric universities.

Our Institute of the Northern Peoples deals with the issues of Finno-Ugric studies and regards it as one of its distinct directions.

Cooperation with Hungarian universities


Yugra State University has signed cooperation agreements with the following universities in Hungary:


Annually the faculty of Yugra State University conduct researches in Hungarian universities, and researchers from partner universities come to collect linguistic and ethnographic data for their works. In 2014 scientists from University of Szeged and Eötvös Loránd University visited Yugra region to meet with native speakers of the Khanty and Mansi languages.
