University Research Centres and Units

Research Institute of Geology and Ecology of the Oil-and-Gas Region includes:
- Research Centre for Geological Modeling;
- Ecosystem Monitoring and Water Management Laboratory.

Centre for Research and Architectural Engineering (Engineering Faculty) carries out work to examine buildings and construction.
Research Laboratory of Self-propagating Synthesis of Nanostructured Materials (Engineering Faculty) which provides a basis for training specialists in nanotechnology.
UNESCO Chair in Environmental Dynamics and Global Climate Change
Institute of Language, History and Culture of the Peoples of Yugra includes:
- Laboratory for Languages Study and Preservation. The laboratory is engaged in gathering and processing dialect material in the localities inhabited by the indigenous peoples - khanty and mansi; studying Finno-Ugric languages and culture in their close connection to Finno-Ugric research in Russia and abroad;
- Research Laboratory of Cultural and Natural Heritage carries out field archaeological research to preserve cultural inheritance, make an inventory and monitor objects of cultural and natural inheritance;
- Creative Laboratory of a mansi poet Yuvan Shestalov aiming at translating and publishing mansi epic.
Yugra State University offers Postgraduate Courses in 13 fields of science, the number of postgraduate students being 150. The University takes an active part in various exhibitions and academic conferences, promotes student research work development.
