YuSU graduates joined the Russian team in the finals of the Global Management Challenge championship

On September 27 in the capital of Angola, Luanda, the official ceremony of summarizing the results of the world final of the Global Management Challenge championship took place. 15 teams consisting of students, business representatives and civil servants from Europe, Africa, Asia and South America competed for the world championship. The team from Russia was represented on the international arena by the heads of public authorities and subordinate institutions of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra "Ugrateam-management", including the finalist of the "Leaders of Russia" contest of the presidential platform "Russia - a country of opportunities".

Graduates of Ugra State University, Alexander Demenko, Director of the Department of State Civil Service, Personnel Policy and Corruption Prevention of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra, and Ruslan Bogordaev, Project Manager of the Change Management Center of the Regional Institute of Management, joined the Russian team and became vice-champions. Teams from such countries as Angola, Russia, Portugal, Spain, India, China, Cameroon, Brazil, and China participated in the Global Management Challenge World Finals in the face-to-face format. Teams from Benin, Georgia, Macau (a special administrative region of China), Togo, Uzbekistan, Ecuador and Estonia worked in the online format.

At the end of the first day of the competition, the strongest teams in each group were determined. The Russian team advanced to the superfinal of the World Championship from the second place, where it met teams from Angola, India, China, Uzbekistan and Georgia.

The top three winners of the Investment Attractiveness Index are as follows: the winner is China, followed by Russia, and Angola. The fourth, fifth and sixth places were taken by the teams of Georgia, Uzbekistan and India respectively.

This world final is the 43rd one for the entire time of the Global Management Challenge. In total, more than 1,000,000 people have participated in the global competition, and more than 100,000 people have taken part in the Russian stage of the championship over the 17 years of its existence. Earlier world finals of the championship were held in Santiago de Compostela (Spain), Macau SAR (China), Bucharest (Romania), Prague (Czech Republic), Lisbon (Portugal), Warsaw (Poland), Paris (France), Madeira Island (Portugal), Doha (Qatar), Dubai (UAE) and other cities. Russia has hosted the World Championship four times: in 2010 in Khanty-Mansiysk, in 2014 in Sochi, in 2019 in Yekaterinburg, and in 2021 in Nizhny Novgorod.

Also, within the framework of the international visit, our team members had time to hold partnership meetings with the Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology of the Republic of Angola, Mariu Augusto da Silva Oliveira, the Minister of Economy and Planning of the Republic of Angola, Mariu Augusto Caetano João, and the Governor of Luanda, Manuel Omeni. During the meetings, they discussed cooperation in the economy and the implementation of digital solutions for citizens.

The team's participation in the world finals was supported by the Global Management Challenge Russia organizing committee, the Presidential Academy (RANEPA), and the Government of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra.
