YuSU held an online meeting with Qingdao University (China)

An online meeting with representatives of Qingdao University was held. YuSU students were told about the opportunity to take a four-month Chinese language course in Chinese university-partner.

The meeting was attended by Alevtina Dobrynina, a student of the YuSU Higher School of Ecology, who has been in Qingdao for a month already and is studying under this programme. Alevtina shared her impressions of the dormitory, campus and its infrastructure, and also spoke about the organisation of training.

"I like Chinese culture for quite a long time and it seems that the Chinese language is quite beautiful, despite all its complexity. Yes and besides, knowing a foreign language opens access to a huge layer of all kinds of information, which is a valuable resource nowadays. In terms of learning, foreign students are divided into 3 classes: 1 - beginners, 2 - intermediate level of language, 3 - high level of language. Study starts at 8am and lasts until 12 noon. After lunch, additional classes and homework begin. It has to be said that the course is intensive and it takes a lot of time to adapt to the pace of learning and to process the abundance of information you receive every day. In general, the general opinion is that all the assignments given by the teachers are more or less creative," said the student.

The students also met the supervisor of international students at Qingdao University and were able to ask her any questions they might have.
