YuSU students are winners of the International Creative Tourism Contest

Students of the "Tourism" educational program took part in the International contest "Creative tourism: implementation of tourist potential of territories", held at Omsk State Technical University.

A total of 212 people from 35 cities and towns, such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Yekaterinburg and others, as well as from Minsk and Tashkent, participated in the contest.

The aim of the contest was to support initiatives, the implementation of interactivity and the study of local culture by mastering skills and crafts typical of the region, the implementation of creative potential and the disclosure of tourist and excursion potential of the territories.

Darya Voitina, a 3rd year student, took the 3rd place in the nomination "Creative tourist route" with the contest work "Tourist quest "Informal Orenburg". Nikita Korolev, a 2nd year student, took the 2nd place in the nomination "Tourism as a sphere of new impressions and creative development of tourists" with the contest work "Sound of Yugra: musical impressions and creative inspiration in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra for musicians-tourists".

"The quest "InFormal Orenburg" was based on the works of a street artist with the pseudonym Yellow Cube. With his works the author not only decorates houses and walls with mosaic expositions, but also puts his soul into them, displaying in his work the significant moments both for himself and for the whole city. Having passed the quest and having looked at all the proposed street-art, the guests and residents of the city will be able to recognize Orenburg from a completely different, Informal side. Initially, this work appeared simply as an individual assignment for practice, and then it was decided to send it to the contest. This is not the first time I have participated in such contests. For me, such contests are important because they help to get an outside view of how interesting this or that topic is to people, and they also help to popularize tourism in a certain region", - said Daria Voitina.
