YuSU team - finalist of the All-Russian Student Olympiad on Financial Literacy

The team of YuSU students turned out to be the best among the teams of universities of the Ural Federal Okrug and was among the finalists of the All-Russian Student Olympiad on Financial Literacy.

As part of the implementation of the Strategy for Improving Financial Literacy and Building Financial Culture up to 2030, the Faculty of Economics of Lomonosov Moscow State University is holding the All-Russian Student Olympiad on Financial Literacy for the seventh time.

The theme of the Olympiad for the academic year 2023/2024 is "Together Better?". The tasks were developed by experts from the Faculty of Economics of Lomonosov Moscow State University, FRI of the Ministry of Finance of Russia and the Financial Ombudsman of the Association of Russian Banks.

Teams of senior students of bachelor's and specialist courses of any fields of study and specialities of higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation were allowed to participate.

This year the number of participants totalled 4,780, 852 teams from 8 federal districts applied for the Olympiad. Based on the results of the extramural stage, one team was selected from each federal district, which will present its project at the in-person stage on 18-19 April 2024 in Moscow. It will include team and individual scoring. The team scoring will take the form of debates. Based on the results of the debates, an authoritative jury consisting of representatives of the Bank of Russia, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, scientific and professional community will determine one winning team and two prize-winning teams. Individual scoring will take place in the form of an interactive financial literacy test.

In the conditions of competition the team "Equality Square" consisting of 3rd year students of the Higher School of Digital Economy of YuSU Aigul Adzhieva, Sienna Vishnevskaya, Natalia Semyannikova, Yulia Yanbaeva under the guidance of the teacher - coach Associate Professor Khromtsova Lina Sergeevna performed a case task in the form of an analytical note on the topic "Credits and loans: together better? "Yulia Yanbaeva under the guidance of Lomonosov Moscow State University (Lomonosov Moscow State University), became the winning team of the off-site stage among the teams of universities of the Ural Federal Okrug and was invited to the in-person stage of the Olympiad.

All 8 teams participating in the face-to-face stage will receive memorable prizes and gifts, and the winners and prize-winners of the individual scoring will be given the opportunity to use their results in the entrance exam for the specialty in the programme "Economic Policy" of the MSU Faculty of Economics.
