The university will participate in the "Young Professionals" National Competition 2017 initiated by the WorldSkills Russia. YUSU will hold its student qualifiers on October, 12-13 in three sections - Program Business Solutions, Laboratory Chemical Test, Physical Training and Sports.

The World Skills movement is getting more and more popular in Russia's regions. This is a clear sign that the national professional education is advancing to high standards of developed countries. At the domestic level, it is meant to be the major driver of promoting blue-collar jobs and training highly skilled workforce.

The competition is aimed at making curricula more practice-oriented, boosting an even greater demand for professional education that focuses on real employers' needs, cultivating a reasonable self-assessment for the professional career and developing a domain expertise.
