YUSU TO PARTICIPATE IN X ANNIVERSARY IT FORUM

The 2018 X Anniversary Ugra IT Forum will be held under the aegis of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO on 'Digital Economy: Development Prospects and Trends' June 5-6 in the host city of Khanty-Mansiysk.


The event will allow the University to assess the potential for applying new information technology in management and business domains, as well as to pinpoint the most promising cooperation directions with BRICS and SCO universities in terms of digital reforms and technological changes.


The university staff is going to participate in forum discussions, share best practices, showcase their IT products and developments for digital economy staff training supported by relevant competence building to be demonstrated at the University Academic Information Technology Exhibition. 


Within the forum conferences and round tables, researchers will deliver lectures on innovation projects featuring artificial intelligence, biometrics, augmented reality, robotics automation, information communications expansion in lean technology.


University Rector Tatiana Karminskaya is expected to hold a number of business meetings with BRICS and SCO states representatives to discuss education service extension, its efficiency and quality improvement, as well as establishing a favorable environment for universities innovation-driven development. In addition, Rector Karminskaya and Oleg Shor, Adviser to General Director, Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library will negotiate establishing a university-based remote access center with the library information sources.

Also, Yugra State University is to become a host venue for the most spectacular IT Forum event – I  International Ugra Open eSports Tournament, with a University-sponsored student team 'UGRASU' to take part in the contest as well. Following the tournament, it is planned to agree on further cooperation agreements with Russian universities that have eSports departments incorporated in their structures.
