RUSSIA, KAZAKHSTAN HOLD COORDINATION MEETING ON TRANSBOUNDARY WATER USE

Sergey Kvach, Director of the Institute of Supplementary Education and Anton Karminsky, Director of the Center for Continuous and International Education have taken part in the coordination meeting on the project “Trans-Regional Environmental Awareness for Sustainable Usage of Water Resourses/TREASURE WATER” in Astana, Kazakhstan.


The project “Trans-Regional Environmental Awareness for Sustainable Usage of Water Resourses /TREASURE WATER” is contributing to better coordination of the activities of the two border states – Russia and Kazakhstan – in the field of transboundary water use through the development of inter-institutional partnership. This task is posed by the need to modernize and improve professional knowledge in both countries in accordance with the requests of international, national and regional labor markets, increase the quality of graduate training and address key issues of environmentally sustainable development and safety of border regions with shared water use.


– Lectures, seminars and study tours were organized by Eurasian National University named after L. N. Gumilyov (ENU). As a result of the meeting, a draft contract for joint training programs was developed, as well as the ways and timelines for implementing the training programs were determined – Sergey Kvach said.
