Hungarian partners visited Yugra State University

Guests from the University of Szeged (Hungary) came to Yugra State University within the Erasmus + project “Mobility for students and teachers of partner universities”.

Representatives of University of Szeged, gave a lecture in English, "Typology of syntax". On the example of comparison of transitive and intransitive verbs in English, Russian and Mansi languages, Hungarian scientists showed similarities and differences of language systems, common cultures and national identity of peoples.

The informative lecture of the Hungarian guests aroused great interest among students-linguists and teachers of foreign languages by the unusual comparison of languages belonging to different language groups. Answering the questions of the audience, Katalin Sipocz and Bernadett Biro told about the main difficulties of studying the languages of the Finno-Ugric, Slavic and German groups.
