Summer school: Organization of work and technical equipment at the carbon polygon

Research and Education Center "Environmental Dynamics and Global Climate Change" is organizing advanced training courses " Organization of work and technical equipment at the carbon polygon" in the total amount of 36 hours.

Date: 1 to 5 June 2023

The program is designed for specialists who carry out their research in carbon polygons, processing and doing visualization of the obtained data. During the program the participants will learn the methods of greenhouse gas measurements, R software package and its capabilities, cloudless mosaics MODIS, Landsat, Sentinel in Google Earth Engine, capabilities of QGIS for navigation purposes, as well as GRASS program. All guests will visit carbon polygon "Mukhrino" of Yugra State University. After completion of the training, the participants will receive a certificate of qualification upgrade of a standard form.

In addition, all participants are invited to the round table with experts "Carbon polygons: solving research and application problems", where everyone can share personal experience and information about the ongoing research, as well as ask questions to the experts.

The program of the SUMMER SCHOOL FOR YOUNG RESEARCHERS is designed for 4th year Bachelor's and Master's students. The program of the summer school includes work with experts, a field session at the Mukhrino carbon polygon, solution of research tasks, development and defense of own scientific project.

!!! a field uniform and repellents are required to visit Mukhrino carbon polygon

Applications for participation are accepted until 20.04.2023.

The cost of participation in advanced training courses - 47 000 rubles / person
