"Dawn of Victory" Greeted in Khanty-Mansiysk

At 5:30 AM on May 8, students and staff of YuSU, together with patriots, representatives of the city administration, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Khanty-Mansiysk Technological and Pedagogical College, Khanty-Mansiysk State Medical Academy, Victory Volunteers, and simply residents of Khanty-Mansiysk, gathered for the traditional event

Since 2010, caring residents of Yugra have been greeting the sunrise in Victory Park. Exactly 16 years ago, the idea came to YuSU professor Natalia Kharina—and it's now an annual tradition.

The column marched from Studgorodok to the Eternal Flame. Before the flower-laying ceremony, poetry and prose from the war years were recited, and a waltz was danced.
