Today, Deputy Governor of Yugra Elena Mayer, Director of the Department of Education and Science Alexey Drenin and his deputy Alexander Gomziak visited YuSU. The federal project "Professionalism", which is being implemented on the basis of the Multidisciplinary College of YuSU, and the Military Training Center were presented to the Vice Governor.
The Deputy Governor visited modern laboratories, which were equipped with a grant won under the state program "Education Development" of the Ministry of Education of Russia. Let us recall that YSU, within the framework of the federal project "Professionalism", successfully defended the program for the development of the educational and production center (cluster) "ProfYugraTEK" in the industry "Fuel and Energy Complex". Currently, 650 students are studying at the Multidisciplinary College, noted Director Angela Sinyuk.
"This is a new approach to the implementation of the SPO program, which is based on interaction with our industrial partners. "The training period has been shortened by a year," said Rector of YuSU Roman Kuchin.
Elena Mayer was shown the "Digital Substation" laboratory. As the head of the Polytechnic School Dmitry Osipov noted, now all information between the terminals is transmitted via fiber optics. "This allows us to make highly automated substations, where there is no maintenance personnel at all, they leave only in the event of an accident or emergency. Yugra is the leader in the number of such substations. This laboratory has a substation of the latest generation, this is a domestic development," said Dmitry Osipov.
The Deputy Governor talked to students of the Polytechnic School. She was surprised by the number of girls who are happy to study electrical energy disciplines. The Vice Governor also found out where students come from to study at YuSU, where they live and plan to work.
"I came here from Kazakhstan specifically to enroll in the "Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering" program. I plan to work here. The university provides interesting jobs. I am sure there will be no problems with employment. I live in a student dormitory, I like it very much, that is one of the reasons why I chose YuSU,” said third-year student Nikita Kasyanov.
Elena Mayer also learned that YuSU has a laboratory of artificial intelligence of electric power systems. “This youth laboratory has 10 positions, for which we invite students of 2-4 years of study. We receive orders for import substitution. Laboratory assistants scan parts, draw models and print them on our 3D printers,” noted Dmitry Osipov.
In addition, Elena Mayer got acquainted with the laboratory where they conduct physical experiments. Let us remind you that YuSU has become a support center for the federal project “Personnel for unmanned aircraft systems.” And now in the laboratory, students under the guidance of associate professor of higher education Alexander Lyutarevich are assembling a drone for agricultural needs. "Engine parts are printed on a 3D printer at YuSU, we make molds, they can be filled with metal," emphasized the head of the Polytechnic School.
