The exhibition "Local Identity" was opened at Yugra State University. It is dedicated to the traditional folk crafts of Khanty people from Tegi territory (Tegi territory is the surrounding area and the village Tegi of Berezovsky district of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra).
The exclusivity of the exhibition is that the exhibited items are made by masters only of the Tegi territory. The scarves, dress, pectoral jewelry, stockings and shoes - all items are already made in the XXI century. This is a vivid indicator that the traditions of women's folk crafts of this territory are alive and passed from generation to generation.
The opening ceremony was attended by Nadezhda Moldanova, chairman of the "Union of Yugra traditional craftsmen" and an expert Tatyana Moldanova. As the guests noted, the exhibition is another important step in the preservation of the Ob-Ugric folk art.
Everyone is invited to watch the exhibition, which is located on the third floor of the administrative building of the University.
