Students of YuSU and the Russian House in Lusaka celebrated the 8th of March together!

Students of Yugra State University and students of the Russian House in Lusaka (Zambia) held an exciting telebridge dedicated to International Women's Day!

During the event the Director of the International Office Oksana Gololobova told about the peculiarities of celebrating March 8 in Russia, as well as about the role of women in the Russian society. Especially interesting and lively was the quiz led by Natalia Akulovskaya, an employee of the Center, where the participants learned a lot about Russian omens related to women.

Zambian participants, in turn, shared their traditions of celebrating this wonderful day and even surprised everyone with the performance of Russian songs, which caused general delight!

The subsequent discussion showed that despite the distance and cultural differences, Russia and Zambia have a lot in common in celebrating the 8th of March and the perception of the fair sex. Everyone was satisfied with the meeting and enjoyed the bright emotions!
