Students of Yugra State University organized an international meeting
Students of the "Linguistics" program at Yugra State University held an online meeting of the Yugra International Friendship Club with participants from Australia, Algeria, Senegal, and Russia. This event marked an important step in implementing the "Development Program of the Yugra International Friendship Club," which linguistics students are actively developing together with the Youth Center of Yugra.

International friendship clubs were established in 2024 by order of the President of Russia to help students get acquainted with peers from different countries, broaden their horizons, and exchange experiences. These clubs also promote the creation of joint projects, making them an essential tool for youth engagement.

During the online meeting, participants discussed a relevant topic — recognizing fake news on social networks. They talked about the importance of verifying sources of information and how trust is formed. Such discussions not only develop critical thinking but also help students practice English and learn to view situations from different perspectives.

Throughout the academic year, more than ten online meetings are planned, where topics relevant to youth will be discussed. Any student wishing to expand their social circle, improve their English skills, and participate in international projects can join the club.
