Training of future teachers

On September 19, an open forum «Pedagogues of Russia. Innovations in Education" took place in Khanty-Mansiysk. The audience and direct participants of the event were pedagogues of Yugra, and one of the speakers was Vladimir Mishchenko, professor of the Higher Psychological and Pedagogical School of Yugra State University.

Vladimir Mishchenko told about career guidance work, educational programs of the university and potential opportunities at the university that are open to students. In his speech, the professor noted a significant shortage of elementary school teachers and that just the other day YuSU launched online courses "School of Pedagogical Classes". This project was realized for secondary schools in 3 municipalities: Khanty-Mansiysk, Sovetskiy and Urai.

"Thanks to the courses at the end of school graduates will have an idea of the profession of teacher, will be motivated and will come to study exactly to us, to the direction that the university realizes" - said the professor.

In addition, the university administration is considering the possibility of taking into account the certificate of course completion when applicants enroll in YuSU, allowing them to earn an additional 5 points.

It should be noted that next year Yugra State University will start training specialists in two new pedagogical areas: "Special" (defectology education) and "Pedagogical Education" (with two new profiles).
