Yugra State University hosted a solemn event dedicated to the graduation of students. On this special day, students, teaching staff and parents gathered together to celebrate an important stage in the lives of young people - receiving diplomas of higher education.
The ceremony was attended by the Vice-Rector and academic staff, graduates and their families, as well as guests of honour.
In his welcoming speech, Roman Kuchin, Rector of YuSU, expressed pride in the students' achievements and wished them success in the future:
"Graduation is another stage in your life, with which I congratulate you. I want to express my gratitude that you once made your choice in favour of YuSU. Our team of professors and I tried to create all the necessary conditions for your professional development. Dear graduates! Knowledge, experience, creative abilities and perseverance that you have developed at the university will help you to overcome any challenges. We look at you - young, talented and promising - with joy and warmth in our hearts. You are the honour and pride of our university! I am sure that you will surely multiply the achievements accumulated by the previous generations of YuSU graduates. On this significant day for all of us I wish you not to be afraid of difficulties, always believe in yourselves and confidently conquer new heights".
Ruslan Kukharuk, the Acting Governor of Yugra, congratulated the graduates. He expressed hope that young specialists will choose to live and work in Yugra: "I am sure that there are those in this hall who will connect their fate with our region. All conditions are being created for this. Today we are launching projects that will allow you to feel more confident from the first days of your adult life. I wish you that the knowledge and skills acquired at the university will help you not only in your professional activity, but also in your life. Stay as active and talented as you were in your student years. So that your vigour and energy will charge you for the rest of your life".
For the graduates it was a day of joy and pride for their academic achievements. They recalled their first steps at the university, the difficulties and joys of studying, and thanked their parents and teachers for their support and help on the way to their dreams.
At the event, diplomas were awarded to students who successfully completed their studies. A total of 724 people received a document confirming higher education this year, 300 of them with honours.
The gala event continued with a rich entertainment programme, including various interactive platforms - master classes, games, and much more - all accompanied by instrumental compositions. Colourful photo zones allowed each graduate to take memorable photos. The red carpet, illuminated by spotlights, gave the guys the opportunity to feel themselves "Stars", drowning in the admiring glances of others. A stunning addition to the celebration was the performance of a cover band and a DJ.
