YuSU at the XIII Forum of Rectors of Universities of the Far East and Siberia of the Russian Federation and Northeast Regions of China

Roman Kuchin, Rector of Yugra State University, and Evgeny Zarov, Senior Researcher of the Laboratory for the Study of Spatial and Temporal Variability of Carbon Balance in Forest and Peatland Ecosystems of the Middle Taiga of Western Siberia, took part in the XIII Forum of Rectors of Universities of the Far East and Siberia of the Russian Federation and Northeast Regions of China in Harbin.

The participants paid special attention to the issues of innovative cooperation, including with the enterprises of the two countries.

Evgeny Zarov gave a presentation "Mukhrino Field Station - Russian-Chinese Platform for Cooperation" and shared the unique practice of scientific research at the test site, spoke about educational programs in the field of ecology and promising areas of cooperation.

"Open interstate cooperation between universities in China and Russia will make it possible to train in-demand highly qualified specialists in various fields. We have already managed to interact with our Chinese colleagues within the framework of the environmental agenda. Not so long ago, climate scientists and representatives of the Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences visited our field station "Mukhrino", and now we are looking forward to expanding and strengthening cooperation and partnership in the field of education and science", - Roman Kuchin shared.

We would like to note that representatives of 56 universities of China and 26 universities of Russia attended this Forum.
