YuSU became a participant of the quadripartite agreement on the implementation of the "Ecological Class" project

On September 8, the Ecological Class project was launched in the G.F. Atyakshev Lyceum in Yugorsk. The project is aimed at forming a system of professional orientation of schoolchildren in the field of ecology and environmental protection.

The opening ceremony was attended by Roman Kuchin, Rector of YuSU, and Tatiana Antyufeeva, Head of the Higher Ecological School.

The opening ceremony included the signing of a quadripartite cooperation agreement between the Department of Education and Science of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra, Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk, Yugorsk City Administration and Yugra State University, the agreement is aimed at organizing interaction and coordinating joint activities to implement the Ecological Class project.

"I believe that creating conditions for the development of environmental education and eco-culture is a priority area in the education system. It is necessary to form in the world outlook of children and youth the desire to take care of the surrounding world, to educate them in basic environmental values. Only through joint efforts we will be able to preserve the unique nature of our region and country!", - noted Roman Kuchin, Rector of YuSU.

Tatyana Antyufeeva, Head of the Higher Ecological School of YUSU, held a lesson for the schoolchildren of the ecoclass, told them about the development of eco-competencies within the framework of the project, directions of project-research activities in the field of ecology and environmental protection, presented the bachelor's degree programs, where children will be able to continue their studies in the future.

Also as part of the opening events there were environmental actions - tree planting and release of young fish into the Esse River together with the students of the ecology class.
