YuSU expands cooperation with African countries

Yugra State University hosted a meeting of the university administration with the diplomatic corps of the states of Angola, Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, India and Pakistan. The meeting was also attended by scientists, teachers and international students of Yugra State University.

In his welcoming speech Rector of YuSU Roman Kuchin expressed his gratitude to the foreign guests, noting the openness of the university to international cooperation in the field of education and science. In response, the representatives of the corps expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and readiness to discuss any proposals.

Director of the Center for International Cooperation Oksana Gololobova, in her turn, presented the main directions of the university's activity, especially paying attention to the conditions of education and accommodation of foreign students, the variety of training programs, extracurricular activities and qualified teaching staff, which also includes foreign citizens.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola to the Russian Federation Augusto da Silva Cunha appreciated the presented advantages of the University, noting the relatively low cost of education at the preparatory course and inquired about the ways of enrollment. Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the Republic of Ethiopia in the Russian Federation Gisilla Shavel Mekuria was pleasantly surprised by the developed system of international cooperation and the network of the University's partnerships, providing student internships.

The guests appreciated the University's efforts to establish cooperation in the African region, its participation in the activities of the Russian-African Network University, suggesting to continue its development in relation to new African countries, such as Angola and Ethiopia.
