YuSU shared its practices with representatives of CIS countries

Yugra State University was visited by students and teachers from universities of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra, as well as from other regions and neighboring countries: Kazakhstan, the Republic of Belarus, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

The event was held as part of a training internship dedicated to civic engagement, student volunteerism and development of the non-profit sector organized by the Youth Center of Yugra together with representatives of the federal project office “Learning by Serving”.

During the internship the participants studied the tools that help to discover the talents of young people and activate their civic position. They exchanged practices and made new connections with like-minded people.

At Khanty-Mansiysk's Boiling Point, the foreign guests learned about the federal program “Learning by Serving”, its basic concepts and features. Students from Khanty-Mansiysk, Surgut and Nizhnevartovsk told about their social projects and successful practices implemented within the framework of this program.

A team of YuSU students presented five projects. One of them is “Curious Palms”, aimed at giving visually impaired children an opportunity to adapt and perceive elements of the environment.

These are tactile handmade books that can compensate children for the ability to fully experience the world around them through the child's visual and practical perception of various elements of the environment.

Second - Redesign of the website of Khanty-Mansiysk District Public Organization of Veterans (Pensioners) of War, Labor, Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies.

The old version of the site was outdated and created difficulties for users, especially for the elderly.

During half a year of hard work, the project team members made structural changes to the site by adding relevant information and removing unnecessary information. New functions appeared on the site: a search engine, animation on the homepage, icons for communication in messengers and social networks, news sections and photo albums.

Now veterans and their families can easily find important news and participate in the active life of the organization.
