Bank VTB and Yugra State University signed a strategic partnership agreement. The new partnership includes the creation and establishment of an university endowment fund, the development of joint educational initiatives and a payroll project. The agreement was signed by Anatoly Pechatnikov, Deputy President-Chairman of the Management Board of the bank and Roman Kuchin, Rector of the university.
It is assumed that one of the sources of the endowment fund of YuSU will be regular allocations from the bank. Following the results of the meeting agreements were reached on the allocation of 3 million rubles by the bank in favor of the endowment fund of YuSU, which will allow the fund to complete the establishment of the endowment and transfer it into trust management. In this way, the fund will have the opportunity of additional financing of scientific research and material and technical resources of the university.
The agreement provides for the expansion of the payroll project based on VTB cards, which will give even more professors and students access to financial and non-financial social services offered by the bank as part of its "Family Capital" strategic initiative.
The agreement confirms the willingness of YuSU and VTB to jointly implement educational activities (seminars, master classes, conferences) and organize internships and apprenticeships for students in the bank's divisions.
"VTB actively cooperates with over 140 universities across the country that are under the jurisdiction of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science. We not only provide employees and students with access to relevant financial and socially important services, but also participate in infrastructure development projects for educational institutions. The agreement with Yugra State University will bring us to a new level of partnership with this major higher education institution in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra, allowing 15,000 students and associates to use VTB solutions for financial management. A reliable source of extra-budgetary funding in the form of Endowment Fund will help the university to systematically develop key projects, improve its material, technical and research base, and provide grants and prizes to the best students," said Anatoly Pechatnikov, Deputy President and Chairman of the VTB Management Board.
"VTB Bank has a great experience in cooperation with the best universities across the country, and I am sure that our cooperation has great potential in different areas of activity. The signed agreement provides great opportunities not only for the personnel, but also for students of YuSU, raising their competitiveness in the labor market through additional professional education programs developed jointly with VTB. Besides, creation of YuSU Endowment fund is a significant and guaranteed additional source of financing the field of education, support of young talents, prospects of launching new educational programs and infrastructure development", - said Roman Kuchin, YuSU Rector.
