YuSU student joined the Council of Students of Higher Education Institutions and Scientific Organizations under the Russian Ministry of Education and Science

Alexey Kokorin, a student of the Higher School of Law and Chairman of the YuSU SSS “Sustainable Development of Northern Territories”, was included in the Council of Students of Educational Organizations of Higher Education and Scientific Organizations under the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia. In total, 110 students were included in the Council. These are chairmen of student councils, trade union organizations, student scientific societies, heads of regional cells of All-Russian youth associations, volunteers, counselors and young scientists. During two years they will participate in the work of the Council.

Olga Petrova, Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, pointed out that for all members of the Council, the next two years of work will be filled with new experience, which will provide additional competencies for the development of leadership skills. “The Council of Students are the most active students who will help us develop the ecosystem of youth policy and educational activities in the universities of our country. They will become conductors of meanings and knowledge. In addition, the members of the Council will help us to see the points of growth, together find solutions to current challenges”, - said Olga Viktorovna.

We would like to add that the Council of Students is a consultative and advisory body that takes into account the opinions of representatives of universities and scientific organizations from all over the country. The Council was selected from September 20 to November 1 by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, the Russian Union of Youth and the Student Coordination Council of the All-Russian Trade Union of Education. In total, more than 700 competitive applications were considered.

“Waited, in fact, with trepidation, as the position is responsible and high. I think that the experience of work on the development of student science, personal active position in the university, as well as my plans and goals for work in the Council were appreciated. I have already reread the regulations several times, studied the directions of the Council's activity. In general, I feel a slight excitement and joy, anticipating a very interesting and, I hope, fruitful period of life”, - Alexey Kokorin commented on the news.
