YuSU student took part in the Youth Forum "Russia made friends with us"

She learned to bake bread and made friends from different countries! YuSU student from Ghana -Cornelia Amegashie took part in the annual youth forum for international students "Russia made friends with us". The forum was held for the third time. This year it brought together 120 participants from more than 40 countries and 30 cities of Russia.

A 3rd year student of the Higher Oil School of YuSU found out about the event from Association of International Students of Russia: "I decided to take part because, firstly, I am an international student, and secondly, it is a good opportunity to meet other international students, make friends with them, and also learn something new".

Five intensive days for the forum participants were held in the cultural and educational center and ethnographic park-museum "Etnomir" in the Kaluga region. As Cornelia notes, the participants were involved in sports competitions, seminars, where, in particular, they were told how to get a job for international students in Russia and how to make a good CV, round tables, where the forum participants were taught how to build a life strategy for success. Organizers did not forget about leisure - they held creative evenings by the fireplace, karaoke, and disco. The YuSU student also took part in a series of master classes on making Chinese lanterns, herbalism, and wood painting.

"I acted in a drama called 'First time in Russia as an international student'. At the master class I also learned how to bake bread," the student said. Thanks to the forum, Cornelia managed to make friends with students from Italy, Bulgaria, Egypt, Cameroon, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Congo, Azerbaijan, China, India, Ghana and, of course, Russia.

We would like to mention that the forum is organized by the Association of International Students (AIS Russia) with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
