YuSU students are invited to take part in the "Lucky Ticket" campaign

The "Lucky Ticket" campaign starts in Yugra today. Until 23 January participants have to fill in an application form with a brief description of their wish using the link.

YuSU students can send letters with wishes concerning the purchase of developmental and educational materials, books, digital equipment for studying, sports equipment, costumes. Students can also write about where they would like to do an internship, who they would like to arrange a meeting with, or what place in our country they would like to visit.

The campaign will end on 25 January. On Student's Day, three lucky tickets will be randomly selected from the total number of applications and are to be implemented during the calendar year.

The project has been implemented since 2020. During this time, Yugra State University students have also become lucky ones. For example, in 2022, the dream of Tazagul Sardarova, a student of Yugra State University majoring in Oil and Gas Engineering, came true. She met with Vagit Alekperov, President of Lukoil PJSC.

"I think many people know Vagit Alekperov. He has made a great contribution to the development of the oil and gas industry in our region and the country in general. My future profession is related to his type of activity, and at the meeting I learnt a lot of interesting and useful things for me. Another reason for my wish was the fact that he is an Azerbaijani - my compatriot. And I am very proud that among the representatives of my nation there are such outstanding people. Our meeting became a good incentive for my further professional growth and development," Tazagul explained. The girl was given a tour of Kogalym Polytechnic College she also visited a greenhouse and an oceanarium.

During the meeting, Vagit Alekperov, the founder of Lukoil, told Tazagyul what helped him succeed in his profession: "Work, work and work again. The ability to get along with people and basic education. Of course, I was lucky to have good teachers who remembered me for my intelligence, talent and desire to work. That's why they spent time on me.

Last year, the campaign made a dream come true for Ksenia Svetlakova, a student of philology, who wished to visit the Boldino estate, where Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin wrote his most famous works. Ksenia and 9 other YuSU students, who won the creative competition, went on a journey along the route Khanty-Mansiysk - Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod - Bolshoye Boldino. At each stop, the students visited local museums and attractions, such as the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow and the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin. On the way to Boldino, the students stopped by the village of Lvovka, where a bar manor with a park and a small two-storey house belonging to Alexander Alexandrovich Pushkin, the poet's son, has been preserved.

- Of course, I remember Boldino most of all from the trip. It has incredible nature and stunning scenic views. Here you immediately understand why Pushkin wrote many of his famous works during the Boldino autumns. The nature is really inspiring. I have never seen such places before," Ksenia shared her impressions.

We would like to add that the wishes and dreams of students can come true thanks to the Governor of Yugra - Natalia Komarova.

Yugra student, you can draw your lucky ticket too! Good luck!
