YuSU team defended of the Priority 2030 programme

Yugra State University defended its Development Programme as a candidate for the Priority 2030 programme in Moscow. The commission was chaired by Valery Falkov, Head of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science.

The team of Yugra's core university was represented by Roman Kuchin, Rector of Yugra State University, Alexander Gomzyak, Deputy Director - Head of the Department of Continuing Professional Education and Science of the Yugra Department of Education and Science, Maxim Medvedev, Director of UTEK-Regional Power Networks JSC, Vladislav Nigmatulin, Head of the Representative Office - Deputy Governor of Yugra, and Maxim Korolev, Head of the Yugra Higher Oil School.

Being a young, dynamically developing higher education institution of Russia, Yugra State University plays an important role in the development of the northern socio-economic ecosystem, providing a significant contribution to the training of engineering, technical and managerial personnel of Yugra.

The mission of the university is to field innovative teams of young people for the promising spatial and technological development of the Russian North and the Arctic.

"Participation in the Priority 2030 programme is a challenge to a young regional university to be a leader of scientific and technological solutions and an actor of educational innovations, investing in the speed of development, as well as building the reputation of the university as a reliable strategic partner with a professional management team", - said Roman Kuchin.

The strategic goal of YuSU development is to become a competitive innovative university by 2033, integrating academic structures and technology companies of national and international level into the system of regional corporate partnership.

"YuSU as a part of the consortium is oriented towards solving regionally relevant and at the same time nationally significant tasks. The strategic projects of the university will ensure qualitative transformation of the university and will contribute to the implementation of the target model of the Yugra Strategy - 2036 according to its key priorities: "human capital" - "smart" economy" - "healthy" ecology", - said Roman Viktorovich.

Within the Priority 2030 programme, Yugra State University plans to implement three strategic projects.

The strategic project “Carbon”. Carbon balance monitoring and decarbonisation technologies for Northern industries" contributes to the strengthening of YuSU national leadership in the field of carbon balance monitoring, advanced technological and natural-climatic solutions, decarbonisation technologies for Northern industries based on ecosystem principles and integrated with digital solutions and analytical methods based on big data and artificial intelligence.

The strategic project "Engineering Centre "UGRATEKH" provides for system integration of innovative scientifically grounded technical solutions with the participation of consortium members and partners to ensure advanced scientific and technological development of the fuel and energy complex of the North and the Arctic in the field of flexible production systems; digital processing, artificial intelligence, additive manufacturing; creation and application of functional chemical compositions for Arctic purposes; mobile transformation of waste hydrocarbons, improving the efficiency of the oil and gas industry in the North and the Arctic. Together, this will ensure Russia's high competitiveness and technological sovereignty.

The strategic project "Northern Logistics" is aimed at creating a competitive system of technological developments of YuSU in the field of designing in-demand technical means of regular delivery of containerised, oversized and heavy cargoes to hard-to-reach regions of the North and the Arctic with entry into the leading positions of the regional market "Autonet".

The Priority 2030 programme will concentrate resources to ensure the contribution of Russian universities to the achievement of the national development goals of the Russian Federation for the period until 2030, increase the scientific and educational potential of universities and research organisations, and ensure the participation of higher education educational organisations in the socio-economic development of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

The goal of the Priority 2030 programme is to form more than 100 progressive modern universities in Russia by 2030 - centres of scientific, technological and socio-economic development of the country.
