Yugra State University and Gazprom Neft jointly train personnel in Yugra

As part of the College League program, Gazprom Neft cooperates with 18 leading universities and colleges of higher education with about 3,000 students, including Yugra State University. The amount invested in training future oil industry personnel has already exceeded a quarter of a billion rubles. Ilya Dementiev, Rector of the Company's corporate university, told about it.

The geography of the partner network covers the largest regions and industrial cities, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Omsk, Tyumen, Khanty-Mansiysk, Orenburg, Tomsk, Megion, Muravlenko, Novy Urengoy, Noyabrsk and Sochi. In Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, the College League program is implemented on the basis of Yugra State University with the support of Gazpromneft-Khantos.

In 2024, the company opened a new training complex at the Yuzhno-Priobskoye field for advanced training of oil and gas industry employees. The site, which is unique in terms of material and technical equipment, has also become a training place for YuSU students pursuing professions in oil and gas production. The university teachers and Gazpromneft-Khantos experts have jointly developed educational programs that combine theory and practice. Students can apply the knowledge gained during lectures at the university while working on real production equipment. The training complex at the Yuzhno-Priobskoye field, which includes many training areas for a variety of oil industry professions, allows students to practice their skills under the guidance of Gazprom Neft-Khantos' experienced specialists. And the developed infrastructure of the oilfield gives students the opportunity to see for themselves the conditions in which oil workers work.

Students of Yugra State University have already tested the educational platform. In total, more than 500 people will be trained here in 2024.

As Ilya Dementiev noted, more than half of Gazprom Neft's annual hiring is already made up of employees under 35 years old, with one in eight being a graduate for whom this is the first place of employment. The Company will continue to increase the number of partner educational organizations, expand the range of professions and the number of trainees.

“The training complex at the Yuzhno-Priobskoye field is a great help for the students of Yugra State University. It recreates the real production conditions that experienced employees face on a daily basis and helps young specialists to adapt faster. Trainees have an opportunity not only to get theoretical knowledge at the educational institution, but also to practice practical skills of equipment handling at the operating oilfield,” said Maksim Korolev, Head of the Higher Oil School of Yugra State University.

“As potential employers, we are interested in ensuring that students are trained on the most up-to-date equipment. The new complex is a modern training center for highly qualified personnel ready to solve industry tasks. It provides an opportunity to obtain or improve professional skills in conditions that are as close to production as possible. Thanks to this, trainees get a reliable idea of their future activities and career prospects,” said Marina Lapykina, Deputy General Director for Human Resources and Organizational Development at Gazprom Neft-Khantos.
